ON DEMAND WEBINAR
FREE-FOR-MEMBERS/
$50 FOR NON-MEMBERS WORKSHOP

(OR JOIN MOPA FOR $75 AND RECEIVE THE WORKSHOP FOR FREE)

(Original Airing: Saturday, February  20, 2021  -  10 a.m.- 1  P.M. CT )

As articulated in the APA Ethics Code in Principle A, Beneficence, and in Ethics Standard 2 Competence (2.06, Personal Problems and Conflicts), psychologists are required to monitor our functioning and to take positive actions to promote our wellness and to prevent the development of burnout so that we may maintain appropriate standards of competence. Yet, there are a number of threats to our competence, especially during a pandemic, that can make this especially challenging.

This webinar provides participants with tangible guidance on how to meet our ethical responsibilities for self-care by effectively integrating positive self-care practices into our lives to promote ongoing competence and flourishing during these challenging times.

At the end of this seminar, participants will be able to:
  • List their personal vulnerabilities and blind spots
  • Explain the symptoms and warning signs of burnout
  • Describe a realistic approach to self-care and the promotion of wellness
  • Explain the use of their competence constellation to promote ongoing wellness
  • Articulate the steps for developing and implementing their personal self-care plan

Please note: this webinar will be conducted via Zoom.  By registering for this webinar, you are agreeing to Zoom's privacy policy.
