State Advocacy

We employ a skilled lobbyist expert in helping Missouri legislators understand the needs and contributions of Missouri psychologists in order to protect your scope of practice, to improve reimbursement, and to advocate for your patients’ needs.
FEDERAL ADVOCACY

Whether you are working in a clinical or academic setting, whether you are a licensed psychologist or a student, we represent your needs each year conducting multiple visits with Senate and House representatives.
Continuing Education and Conferences (Including UP TO 10 FREE CE's EACH YEAR)

MOPA members get special discounts for high-quality, MOPA-sponsored conferences and CE events with well known and often world-class presenters that keep you on top of what is most important right now in our field .  MOPA provides up to 10 hours of free CEs a year to members, including the chance to meet SCOP’s CE ethics requirements to no costs to you. ListServ Membership

Special only to MOPA members, the MOPA ListServ connects members to make referrals, discuss issues in the field of psychology, seek out specialists and advice on current cases, and provide a network of support with other MOPA members.
Ethics and professional practice consultation

Are you up-to-date on how our industry and licensure board is typically addressing an ethics issue? MOPA offers private one-on-one consultations with some of our state’s most knowledgeable experts on ethics and risk management,  so that you make your best decision.
Insurance updates and problem-solving

MOPA employs a Director of Professional Affairs and has an active insurance committee that helps you advocate for yourself and your patients and helps keep you on top of issues, like effective ways to code your billing, the No Surprise Act, and ways to address insurance problems.

MOPA is a state and nationally recognized brand. We receive frequent referral requests that we forward exclusively to our members.
News Updates and Periodicals

  • The requirement of a doctoral degree may be waived by the Board of Directors upon submission of evidence satisfactory to the Board of significant contribution or performance in the field of ​psychology.
