5-minute highlights: briefly synthesize the research and offer a synopsis of the primary findings
APPROPRIATE TOPICS
All basic and applied research topics and literature reviews will be considered.
SUBMITTING PROPOSALS AND NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE
We have room for a total of about 20-30 presentations during the 2025 Hot of the Press session. Proposals will be accepted and reviewed with notification of acceptance provided on a rolling basis until all slots have been filled.
Initial proposals should be submitted using the form below. Proposals may be based on a draft abstract for projects that will be completed prior to the conference. Final abstracts and PowerPoint presentations are due to the conference committee by May 20.
PLEASE NOTE: All presenters also must be registered for the conference by June 20 in order to participate.

5-minute highlights: briefly synthesize the research and offer a synopsis of the primary findings
- include an overview of the problem (& relevance for clinical practice by psychologists)
- summarize the main research findings & implications
- include the original article citation for reference
- incorporate other citations for suggested reading, if appropriate
- use only 1-5 slides
- Who is eligible? Psychology interns, undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, and psychologists
- What kind of data can be presented? Original research results, research proposals, or recent journal article summary (using a research study published in the past 12 months).
- What is required? A 500-word summary, with the article citation
