MOPA Diversity Committee

Thank you for visiting the MOPA Diversity Committee link. This page provides an outline of the mission and goals of the Committee. Please use our expanded list of diversity resources, including articles, reports and organizations focused on diversity and multiculturalism.

If you are interested in any aspect of our diversity network, or have specific inquiries please email Keisha Ross, Ph.D. Diversity Committee Chair.

The mission of the Diversity Committee includes: stimulating critical thinking and examination of multiculturalism in the area of psychology; and improving cultural competence.

The committee will work within MOPA to increase awareness of, and attention to, issues of diversity; and recognizing and understanding cultural differences and its impact on mental health.

In order to accomplish this mission the committee will work with psychologists and the community at large to implement education and training based on the following areas of diversity (race/ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, disabilities, religion/spirituality, socioeconomic status, geographic region, immigration).
