About the Webinar:

COVID-19 is far from over. And our patients have discovered a new way to receive services that is far more convenient and cost-effective for them than are face-to-face services. But what does that mean for psychologists who must deliver legal, ethical, evidence-based care over a medium that they are only beginning to understand and master?

Why this is important to you:
  • Some insurance companies are now threatening to pay less for telehealth compared to face-to-face services.
  • PSYPACT is just beginning to roll out its new rules and procedures.
  • Questions remain if phone telehealth will be allowed to continue.
  • What constitutes best practices in preparing our patients for telehealth services?
  • What are the most common mistakes that psychologists are making in offering telehealth that places them at risk legally and ethically?
  • How does one incorporate the more widely used integrated care strategies?
  • What is best practice in using telehealth services?

In this workshop, All Things Telehealth, we have gathered some of the most important voices in psychology regarding, not only how telehealth should be used, but what is the likely future of telehealth itself. In this workshop we will update you on the latest directions the field of telehealth appears to be taking. We will address the most common problems psychologists are making in providing telehealth services, including in using the new PSYPACT program. And we will discuss ways to deliver solid, evidenced-based care to your patients based on the latest psychological science.

Course objectives:
  • Identify at least three mistakes that psychologists should avoid in delivering telehealth services
  • Recognize three precautions psychologists should make in delivering interstate telehealth services
  • Name three strategies that can improve the delivery of evidence-based care via telehealth
