Dr. Jared Skillings serves as the Chief of Professional Practice for the American Psychological Association.

In this role, he promotes psychology and the practice of psychologists through setting national strategies and advocating for population health; access to care; billing, coding, and reimbursement for psychological services; legal, regulatory, and state advocacy; and quality & safety initiatives including guideline development. 

Dr. Skillings’ career includes executive leadership in Pine Rest Professional Practice Group, the largest independent practice group in the U.S. He served six years as Chief of Behavioral Health for Spectrum Health System in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a $6.5 billion enterprise with 14 hospitals. Dr Skillings is triple board-certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) and holds a blackbelt certification in Six Sigma process improvement.

On a personal note, he has been married to his wonderful wife, Julie, for over 20 years. They have five adopted children (ages 8-13), who are the joy of their life.

Janet Orwig, MBA, CAE in her position with the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB) serves as the Associate Executive Officer for Member Services and PSYPACT Executive Director. Janet plays an integral part in the development of new services and programs, securing and managing large government grants and furthering member relations. She is responsible for monitoring state regulatory and legislative actions and overseeing member services for ASPPB including mobility initiatives, the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT), the Psychology Licensure Universal System (PLUS), the Disciplinary Data System (DDS), model documents, and the ASPPB website and listservs.  Her 25-year career in association management includes experience in customer service, communications, public relations, advocacy, strategic planning, leadership development and project and program management. Janet earned her Paralegal Certificate and Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Huntingdon College and her MBA from the University of Phoenix. She is a Certified Association Executive.

Chelsea Gilliam, PsyD began her journey in clinical psychology by obtaining her bachelor’s in psychology at Lyon College in Batesville, Ark. She earned a Masters in Mental Health from Mississippi College in Clinton, Miss. and then her PsyD in clinical psychology at Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield. It was at Forest Institute where Chelsea became interested in behavioral health integration and completed her dissertation on the correlation between infertility and shame.  She completed internship locally within the National Psychology Training Consortium and completed residency at Burrell Behavioral Health from 2014-2015. Chelsea continued her interest in integration at Jordan Valley Community Health Center where she developed and implemented an integrated pain management program.  Chelsea returned to Burrell in 2018 as part of the fast-growing integrated care team focusing on internal medicine, family practice and college campus integration.  Chelsea is currently the System Director of Adult Integration at Burrell and chair of MOPA’s integrated care committee. ​
