Delani
​Mann-Johnson, MD

Delani Mann-Johnson is the clinical lead physician for the inpatient palliative care service at Duke Raleigh Hospital. She is a graduate of Spelman College, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Oh and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford and St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospitals in Detroit and Ann Arbor, MI respectively.  As a National Health Service Corps scholar, she practiced primary care in a community health center that served the uninsured/underinsured in St.Louis, MO. Upon completing her service obligation, she continued to serve the community as the founder of Mobile Medicine Incorporated – one of only two house call practices in the St.Louis area that focused on the care of the homebound elderly.
 
After working nearly 10 years in primary care, Dr. Mann-Johnson transitioned her focus of care to Hospice and Palliative Medicine and became board certified in 2010. She currently supports the inpatient Palliative Care Service at Duke Raleigh and Duke University Hospitals and is passionate about the opportunity to support patients and families when they’re navigating serious illness.

Jameca ​Woody
​Cooper, PHD

Dr. Jameca Woody Cooper is an accomplished Counseling psychologist, educator, entrepreneur, author and civic leader. Dr. Woody-Cooper holds a Ph.D. in Educational and Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri Columbia and is the recipient of a Fulbright Award/Fellowship in Global Health.Dr. Woody-Cooper was awarded the “Salute to Excellence in Health Care” award by the St. Louis American newspaper (St. Louis, Mo; April 2014) in honor of her dedication to healthcare for African American individuals in the community. She was also awarded the Phenomenal Woman award from First Bank and 95.5 The Lou in 2018. Dr. Woody-Cooper has delivered keynote addresses, workshops, and delivered papers at more than 100 conferences. 
She has been featured in The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, NBC and ABC news regarding her expertise in Coronavirus. She is a dynamic mental health expert with a unique perspective on the topic of race, urban mental health and community intervention. Dr. Woody-Cooper is a past president of the Association of Black Psychologists (Saint Louis Chapter), and President of the Tougaloo College Alumni Association (St. Louis chapter). She is currently on the Board of the Missouri Psychological Association. Her leadership in these organizations has helped to re-engage members and stimulate more community outreach efforts.
Much of Dr. Woody-Cooper’s community involvement has focused on increasing the awareness of mental health conditions and decreasing the stigma associated with mental health in communities of color. Her vision is to educate, empower, and inspire a generation of thinkers that have the courage to advocate for fairness in their own communities.

Nicole Rhodes, LCSW

Nicole Rhodes is the Program Director at Annie’s Hope – The Center for Grieving Kids in St. Louis, MO.  In her role as Program Director, Nicole supports and learns from bereaved kids & their families in community & school-based grief groups, camps, social events, and crisis response.  In addition to her role at Annie’s Hope, Nicole facilitates groups for people impacted by cancer at Cancer Support Community of St. Louis and volunteers for Weavings, a BJC Hospice retreat for bereaved moms.  Nicole earned her BSW from Lindenwood University, MSW from Saint Louis University, and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri.  She believes it’s a true privilege to hear & hold the stories of those she has the honor to meet.  Nicole enjoys running, time outdoors, and being a “big kid” at Camp Courage, a program offered by Annie’s Hope.

Keisha Ross, Ph.D

As owner of New Horizon Psychological Services, LLC Dr. Ross provides national  and international diversity and inclusion, cultural competence training and workshops with an emphasis on the impacts of historical/intergenerational trauma on communities of color. She volunteers in the community for faith based organizations providing psychoeducation on mental health to faith leaders, to assist in decreasing stigma among the religious/spiritual population. Dr. Ross is cited in journal publication in the areas of religion and spirituality and its impact on psychological adjustment.

Dr. Ross’ professional affiliations and advocacy include membership to the American Psychological Association (APA) and Missouri Psychological Association (MOPA). She is Past President of MOPA (2017-2018). She currently serves as Chairperson to MOPA’s Diversity Committee. She also served as MOPA’s Diversity Delegate Representative at APA’s State/Practice Leadership Conference in 2013, 2016, and 2017.
