April 24, 2012: Psychology Recognizes Pam Groose, SCOP Director
Mark Bradford, MOPA President Elect-Elect, drove to the Kansas City SCOP Meeting April 24th to Present an Award to Pamela Groose, SCOP Director on behalf of Ozark Area Psychological Association (OAPA) and all State Psychologists . Pam has been a friend to psychology and to all psychologists and we appreciate her! It was good to say "Thanks Pam for all you do!"
We also had the privilege of inviting Psychologists to Join MOPA and to invite them to our Upcoming June 7-8, 2013 MOPA Celebration of Psychology Conference where we will be reminiscing MOPA History and Celebrating and Honoring Psychologists for their years of service.

Interested in Serving on the Committee:
Individuals interested in being considered for an appointment to the State Committee of Psychologists must apply through the Governor's website, http://governor.mo.gov/boards/. Complete the application and submit it to the Governor's office. It is also important to make a contact with your state senator, explain your interest, obtain the support of your senator and if possible obtain a letter from the senator expressing his or her support. This process can take a long time so do not get discouraged but do follow up with the Governor's office for Boards and Commissions regularly making certain your application is still in the process. Neither MOPA nor The State Committee of Psychologists has any input into the selection of Board members.
