Mental Health Manager B2 -- Missouri Department of Mental Health

The Missouri Department of Mental Health seeks one of the following to join their team: a Psychologist II, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Board Certified Behavioral Analyst. This position will function as a children’s clinical professional, specializing in developmental disabilities and behavioral health. This position is located at DMH Central Office in Jefferson City and will report to the Director of Children’s Services within the Division of Behavioral Health and the Director of Community Support within the Division of Developmental Disabilities. It is a state-level central office position and is covered by the Missouri Merit System.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include administrative and clinical activities to meet the goals of the Divisions of Developmental Disabilities (DD) and Behavioral Health (DBH). The position will:
  • Promote best practices to develop provider capacity for children’s critical needs.
  • Develop and implement best practice policies supporting individuals served in both divisions.
  • Review/analyze clinical criteria for children’s state in-patient facilities
  • Provide technical assistance to providers
  • Represent DD/DBH on statewide committee

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will demonstrate clinical experience and expertise. The resumes of eligible applicants should include relevant experience.

This position requires professional communication skills in all communication formats, including email, phone and face-to- face. Applicants must be well-organized and able to successfully manage work priorities. Applicants must possess effective training skills and must have proficient writing skills.

Experience and Education
(The following entrance requirements are used to admit or reject applicants for merit system examinations, or may be used to evaluate applicants for employment in positions not requiring selection from merit system registers. When applicable, equivalent substitution will be allowed for deficiencies in experience or education.)

Possession of either a doctoral degree in psychology, a master’s degree in professional counseling or social work, or have a certification in behavior analysis. Candidate must be licensed from an accredited board. Must have at a minimum two years of professional experience as a licensed psychologist, licensed professional counselor, or licensed clinical social worker in performing client assessments and applying therapeutic interventions. A temporary or provisional license does not satisfy this qualification substitution or the licensure requirement.

Salary range: $47,556 – 77,184
